Chris Bridgeford

Chairman

Chris was born and educated in Forres. He had to take medical retirement from Bank of Scotland there in 1995. He was made a Burgess of the Royal Burgh of Forres having served on many committees in the town over the years, including the Community Council. He was also Secretary and Chief Volunteer of the Friends of the Falconer Museum until around 2010 when his health made him leave public life completely. He has now returned, determined to see the museum he loves so much re-opened.

Christiane H Friauf

Trustee

Christiane has supported the Falconer Museum since she moved from Berlin to Forres about 10 years ago, including serving as Chair of the Friends of the Falconer Museum. She is a historian, editor, and author, her German books focusing on education, culture, and art. For the Friends, she developed the book “Science & Imagination: True Stories from the Falconer Museum”. She believes that understanding our past is vital to prepare for a good future and that we need museums to help us with that.

Carrie Hughes

Treasurer

Carrie has lived in Forres from the age of nine. After college she worked in Bermuda for ten years returning to Scotland in 2007 with her family. Having been in hospitality since her teens, Carrie opened her own business - Café 1496 - in 2019. Carrie is very passionate about Forres, its people, its history and the Falconer family, thanks to talks by Heritage Consultant, Helen Avenell. She hopes the museum reopens soon as an educational site that makes young people proud of their heritage.

Michael Rhind

Trustee

Michael is a long-standing community advocate and Burgess of the Royal Burgh of Forres. For over fifteen years, he has supported the Falconer Museum through volunteering, governance, and public outreach to preserve its collections and strengthen its community role. Professionally, Michael works at sea in a senior navigation and management role. He is passionate about ensuring the Falconer Museum remains an accessible, engaging, and sustainable resource for current and future generations.

Gina Wall

Trustee

Gina is an artist and academic with nearly 28 years of experience in Art School Education, having held senior academic positions at The Glasgow School of Art and the University of the Highlands & Islands. Through her creative practice research Gina explores her interest in heritage landscapes of the rural north. Gina holds a practice-based PhD from the University of Dundee/DJCAD and is a Senior Fellow of the HEA.
